- When a live poker player sells the poker chips back to the cashier at a casino.
When a poker player says he is going to cashout, he is referring to the act of taking all his or her money off of their online poker account and putting the money in their bank account. A "live" poker player (one that plays at a casino) would say this when they are exchanging in the casino's chips for cash at the cashier.
