word type: adjective
- Describes the state of being both degenerate and charitable or generous.
In the wake of the Haiti disaster of January, 2010, PokerStars deployed several tournament lobbies in which you could donate funds to the relief effort (which Stars matched).
While discussing who the most generous poker players were (based on the list of contributors), it was decided that there had to be two categories--1) "Generous", as expressed in the gross amount one player is willing to give whereas 2) "Degenerous" describes a donation that is basically an inappropriate percentage of one's bankroll.
A player who donates $1k of his $1M bankroll is very generous while a player who donates $100 of a $3400 bankroll is quite degenerous.
