Origins

The origin of the nickname "brush" for one of these employees at a casino originated when they actually were in charge of brushing the tables. Because this was how the interacted most with the games, they were referred to as a brush.

Responsibilities

A brush is in charge of greeting players, administrating wait lists, running the boards so players can see where they are at on a list and also locating players when they are called to a table. They are expecting a tip when they do a task for a player.
