Original Use

I cold called the obviously pot committed cut off raise with AJ. Active big stack in the big blind raises, putting the cut off all in. I make an aggressive call, hoping the deck hits me hard so I can check the flop. -Vanessa Rousso, Team PokerStars Pro

Explanation

There's no way to explain a nonsensical poker term such as "aggressive call". It makes little sense to anyone and has been widely ridiculed throughout the poker world, with good reason.

As a general rule, a call is considered to be a passive or loose play, not an aggressive play.
