Back Raise

  1. When a player who made a flat call faces a raise from a player in later position and makes a re-raise against that raise.

Example

Step 1: Player A (the player who will make a back raise) makes a call UTG for $2.
Step 2: Player B on the cutoff makes a raise to $10.
Step 3: Player A then thinks, and makes a re-raise to $35. This last step is referred to as a back raise.
