- A card that appears on the turn or river that causes significant betting for two or more players in a hand.
Action Card Example
On a given hand we have two players. Player One has T9 of spades, and Player 2 KQ of hearts. The flop is JT2 and player one checks, player two bets, and player one calls. The turn card (action card) is a 9 giving Player One two pair, while Player Two has turned a straight. This card will definitely create some action (betting) in the hand.
