1. The physical area of a casino or poker room where matters of finance and exchange are administered.

What Goes On

Almost every poker room will have a cage, and there will always be a "main cage" in the general floor area of the casino where pit games take place.

Chips are redeemed, wire transfers are collected, checks are cut, and sometimes other random matters of business (like tournament registration) take place at the cage.
