Usage

NC is used to indicate a genuinely "nice call" or a facetious reference to a perceived crappy call.

NC, in its rarer meaning as "nice catch," may sound like a complement, but it's not. At best, it's an observation that someone got lucky. At worst, it's a blatant insult meant to indicate that the person who "caught" sucks at poker.
