Here are some common examples of juice in gambling scenarios:

- A sports book will pay out a winning bet minus 10%. That 10% is the juice.

- In a poker tournament that has a buyin of $15,000 + $400, the $400 "entry fee" is the juice, the amount of money the house is collecting in addition to the buyin.
