The Mirage and the Taj Mahal were immortalized in Rounders as being the two hubs for poker action across the country.
In the time since the movie came out, the roles these casinos played in poker culture have been replaced by the Bellagio and the Borgata, respectively.
Volcano at The Mirage
One of the Mirage's main attractions is an artificial volcano that erupts at the top of every hour from 8pm-midnight. Below is a video clip of the spectacle, which features the music of legendary Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart.
