Brief Biography
Negeanu switched to poker after word got out he was a well known pool hustler. After building up his bankroll he moved to Las Vegas at 21 to achieve his dream of becoming a professional poker player, however, he lost his roll and moved back home to Toronto. Eventually Negreanu would last in Vegas and play on the tournament circuit and in 1997 won the World Poker Finals at Foxwoods. Over the next few years he would go on to win four WSOP bracelets and two WPT titles and become the second biggest live tournament winner behind Jamie Gold. Currently Negeanu is married and resides in Las Vegas and is a sponsored pro of Team PokerStars.
