Usually the term "JokerStars" is used when someone is complaining about PokerStars after they take a bad beat. The term is meant to imply that PokerStars delivers a lot of bad beats and that the site is playing a "joke" on them.

Validity

While JokerStars is rarely used in a serious manner, it is considered to be virtually impossible that PokerStars' random shuffle is compromised. It's well-known that bad beats are a part of poker and, like any other poker shuffle, PokerStars does deliver bad beats. However, no one has ever proved that PokerStars' shuffle is not random.
