Kill Button

1. A designation given to a player that has to post an over-blind that increases the betting limit and is usually calculated at double the amount of the big blind in a limit poker game.

A kill button is typically given to a player that wins three straight hands in a limit poker game. A full kill is double the amount of the big blind which in effect increases the stakes at the table for that hand. The kill button is optional to a game and typically is signified as a "button" similar to the dealer button.
