Alson's first book was entitled Confessions of an Ivy League Bookie. He also co-authored, with Nolan Dalla, One of a Kind: The Rise and Fall of Stuey "The Kid" Ungar, the World's Greatest Poker Player about poker prodigy Stu Ungar.
His most recent book was Take Me to the River: A Wayward and Perilous Journey to the World Series of Poker, which chronicled his experience at the 2005 WSOP as he also grappled with issues of maturity, marriage and success.
