Brief Biography

Justin Bonomo is a well known high stakes online poker player who has 8 in the money finishes between the WSOP and WPT. He finished as the runner up at the 2008 WSOP $5,000 Mixed Hold'em event winning $230,159. Bonomo has pledged to donate 5% of his tournament winnings for the SENS project, a life extension research program. Currently Bonomo resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Cheating Scandal

Bonomo won hundreds of thousands of dollars before the age of 21 playing online poker and became the youngest player ever to reach a WPT final table. This, however, was simply not enough at the time, and found a bug in the Party Poker software that would allow a player to open multiple accounts at the same time. As it was exposed, Bonomo had multiple accounts and was exposed by Party Poker and promptly confiscated $100,000 from his account. PokerStars immediately conducted its on investigation and found no wrong doing on its poker room.

Bonomo has since repeatedly apologized publically for what was done and stated on his personal website and in interviews what he did was wrong.
