Explained
The term "real money" is often used to describe poker games where actual dollars (or other currency) are used. This differentiates it from play money games, such as on ".NET" versions of poker sites or on Facebook. For example, if you were to download the software from FullTiltPoker.net, you would only play in play money games. If you were to go to the ".COM" version of Full Tilt Poker or PokerStars, then you could play for real money.
