Sample size is something that might be considered in a spot where results oriented thinking was being employed.

In other words, the results for an MTT player with 100 finishes on record might be considered insignificant based on sample size, whereas 10,000 recorded results would be considered more indicative of the player's true talent and less a representation of variance.
