Four To A Straight

1. A term to describe a hand that only has four cards to a straight that has not yet made a hand.

When playing a hand of poker, if you have 9T on a 8J2 flop, you have four to a straight. This is synonymous with being on a straight draw.

In a live tournament, Player A has 56 and the flop is 78A. Player B makes a cbet and Player A moves in for all his chips. Player B calls and asks, "So what do you have?" and Player A would say, "Just four to a straight."
