WAWB

word type: acronym

  1. An acronym for the poker term Way-Ahead Way-Behind and often seen as WA/WB.
  2. A scenario in poker where a player is heads-up and either is way ahead in the hand or way behind.

Example

Let's say for example you hold KK in a heads-up pot and the flop is A-7-2 rainbow. At this point, your K-K is most likely either way ahead of your opponents range (if he has any pair other than AA, 77 or 22), or way behind it (if he has an A). So given this flop, your best course of action is to check and let your opponent bluff with an inferior hand, or hope to get to showdown if he has a better one.
