As of early 2009, Chiu's career tournament cashes are a shade under $6M.

He has four World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and in 2008 won the prestigious WPT $25K championship at the Bellagio, beating Gus Hansen heads-up to claim a first prize of more than $3M.
