Quick Biography
McEvoy was laid off from his job as an accountant and took up poker full time in 1978. McEvoy won the third ever Professional Poker Tour event at the Bay 101 casino and still plays regularly live and on Pokerstars where he is a sponsored friend to the popular site. He currently resides in Las Vegas and has three children.

McEvoy is a noted author of poker strategy book and has authored or coauthored over a dozen publications. He has collaborated with players such as T.J. Cloutier, Brad Daughtery and Max Stern. His most popular works include Championship Omaha, Championship Hold'em Tournament Hands and Beat Texas Hold'em all of which continue to be published and sold today.
