2008 was a breakout year for Rheem, who made his second and third World Series of Poker final tables, the latter of which was a 7th place finish in the main event.

Later that year, in December, Chino won the Doyle Brunson Poker Classic, a $15K buyin held at the Bellagio, for $1.5M. It was his first World Poker Tour cash.

In February of 2009, Rheem and Scotty Nguyen chopped up the inaugural LAPC HORSE championship, each man taking away almost $250,000.
