Ragged

word type: poker slang

  1. The term used to described an uncoordinated board texture in poker.

Raggedy Ann

An example of a ragged board would be: J52 or T63 rainbow.

Uses

Poker players will often refer to boards as 'ragged' when they can't exactly remember the actual cards, similar to how they use the term 'brick'. For example, you might say to your friend, "So I flopped bottom set with 22 on a ragged board but didn't get paid off." This means that the board was 2-x-x, probably something not relevant to the hand like 2-5-9 rainbow.
